Conversing with Cardinals

When Camella leaves college to watch over her estranged and charismatic grandfather, Irving, in a small town in North Carolina, she begins to have mysterious visions of a young boy named Sonny, who lost his family at sea. Sonny lived during the 1930s, but as his story unfolds Camella’s visions begin to include her own past and the history of the town itself. Engulfed by change, and enlightened by Irving’s unique perspective, Camella needs to navigate between two worlds: her reality, and the strangely vivid imaginary. Meanwhile, a gang of elderly residents rally against corporate-takeover as the town builds its first light rail station, and a midnight musician with dark eyes fills Camella’s life with art, passion, and the potential to find beauty in loss.

A labor of love…
This novel changed and moulded within the decade of my life that it took to write it, and it has been incredible to witness the growth and changes of writing styles I’ve learn along the way. Finally, I can share with you a book that has been my dear companion and deepest passion for many, many years.

As it is now available for purchase, I lay it to rest, and like any good chapter, I look forward to what future pages will bring me.

Best enjoyed with tea and blankets.
